Police continue to hold fears for the safety of a Christchurch teenager who has now been missing for more than a week. Hayden Peter Miles, 15, has been missing from his Halswell home since Monday, August 22. He was last seen in Linwood on that day.

Detective Richard Quested said there was particular concern for Hayden because he may have suffered depression. However, he said it was possible Hayden had travelled to the North Island. Quested said the teenager was about 1.7 metres tall, thin and with dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans. "We are concerned for his wellbeing," said Quested. Anyone with information about Hayden's movements or whereabouts is asked to call the Christchurch police on 363 7400.
